NBC Universal's Stamford Studios is celebrating 15 years in "The City That Works."
"We are thrilled to be celebrating our 15th anniversary right here in the heart of downtown Stamford," says Vinnie Fusco, NBCU senior vice president of production and operations.
NBC Universal's Stamford Studios has turned the 46,000 square feet of the Rich Forum Theater into a space that has created some of TV's most popular shows, such as "Maury" and "The Jerry Springer Show." It's also the home of new shows, including "Karamo."
"Not only has it been a place that people have come together to feel like they have a great place to work, but also to know that they have a family here," says "Karamo" host Karamo Brown.
"We look forward to being a major and vital part of the media production community that moved to Connecticut to take advantage of the Connecticut state film, TV and digital media tax credit," says Fusco.
"People spend real money in the state of Connecticut, it's not just what we spend as a business but it really has a residual effect because our employees are living here and we're bringing in so many people in from outside," says Kristen Killackey, NBCU vice president of production and operations.
NBCU says producers from across the country are discovering the advantages and convenience of producing in Fairfield County and Stamford, an easy commute from New York.
