Residents say a Bridgeport man was shot Sunday afternoon after he threatened his neighbors with a hammer.
The shooting occurred near 40 Sanford Place around noon.
Eyewitnesses told News 12 Connecticut that they heard a man running up and down the block, yelling and banging on neighbors? doors with a hammer. Moments later, they heard multiple gunshots and saw the man bleeding as he ran away.
Witnesses say they saw police picking up bullet casings on the curb later Sunday.
Police say the incident is under investigation. This is the fourth shooting in Bridgeport in the last six days.
