The former head of the New Canaan Red Cross had no comment as he was led into court Monday to face a judge. Albert Hsu, 43, is charged with attempted sexual assault, attempted kidnapping and using a false identity. Prosecutors say Hsu posed as his former mistress on the Internet in an effort to have someone kidnap and rape her. Hsu, also a former Cub Scout leader, was taken into custody at his home in New Canaan Friday following a lengthy investigation.
Police say all records on the case have been sealed to protect the victim. The American Red Cross won't comment on the case because it is a criminal investigation. Hsu is being held on $1 million bond.
