Customers are shocked by the sudden closure of a New Canaan pharmacy that's been around for more than a century.
Lang's Pharmacy, located on Elm Street, closed its doors after 125 years in business. Diana Levinson's family had owned the pharmacy since 1977 and opened a second location four years ago in Weston. Levinson says that competition from drug store chains was part of her decision to close Lang's doors.
Levinson says she sold the pharmacy to Walgreens and that she was not allowed to give customers a heads up that their prescriptions would be transferred.
