A Stamford man faced a judge Wednesday over accusations that he abused his wife and neglected their baby boy.
Igor Kotsopey, 41, and his wife were arrested Tuesday on child neglect charges.
Kotsopey was being held on $25,000 bond, but a new arrest warrant includes allegations from his 27-year-old wife, Marina Vouk, that he beat her.
Officials issued a restraining order blocking Kostopey from having any contact with Vouk or their 14-month-old son.
News 12 previously reported that police responded to the couple's home and found it littered with feces, garbage and insects.
The child has been placed in foster care.
Vouk has been released on charges of risking injury to a minor with a written promise to appear for her next court date.
Kotsopey is being held on $75,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 10, when he will appear for a mental health hearing.
