The newly appointed commissioner of the state's Department of Motor Vehicles says he recently learned he may not hold a master's degree as he had claimed for about two decades.
Michael Bzdyra told a legislative committee yesterday that he is two courses short of earning the public affairs degree from the University of Connecticut.
Bzdyra made the disclosure when asked if there was anything in his past that would embarrass the department or the governor's office.
The committee approved his nomination.
