A library in the Bronx is shutting down for the next two years for a major makeover.

The New York Public Library's Woodstock branch will close to the public on Aug. 29 to undergo a $10 million facelift. The 100-year-old branch will be transformed into a modern community resource after the renovations.

The library will have an expanded children's center with a story hour area, a new young adult space with lounge seating, more computers, technology upgrades and increased programming space for classes. It will also get its first elevator, new furniture and the top floor will be completely dedicated to children.

Residents are sad to see the library close for a while but say they can't wait for what's to come.

In the meantime, people who live in the area can use the Morrisania, Melrose or Hunts Point branches.
