A Bridgeport woman who was left homeless by a fatal fire is no longer living on the street, thanks to some News 12 viewers.
Chun Ahn, 56, was left homeless after a fatal fire killed her longtime friend and roommate three weeks ago.
As News 12 previously reported, Ahn says she went two weeks after the fire without getting into a shelter.
People contacted News 12 Connecticut to help Ahn find a place to stay.
With those viewers' help, Ahn is now on track to receive permanent housing. She is currently staying at a motel, which she says is being paid for for by a social worker who saw her story.
Ahn says she is deeply grateful to all the News 12 Connecticut viewers who took the time to reach out and show their support.
"Thank you very much for everything," she says. "I appreciate it."
The cause of that fire that left at least 15 other people homeless is still under investigation.
