A man from Newtown is under arrest after the TSA caught him with a handgun in his carry-on bag.
The man was going through a checkpoint at LaGuardia Airport.
Port Authority police responded, confiscated the gun and arrested him on weapons charges.
The gun was not loaded.
It marks the second time this year a traveler was arrested for bringing a gun to a LaGuardia checkpoint.
