5h agoA Newtown man was killed in a car crash on Toddy Hill Road, police say.
Brandon Hensel, 22, of Newtown, was pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital.
Police say Hensel's 1999 Ford Explorer crashed on Sunday just after 5 a.m. on Toddy Hill Road around Quarry Ridge Road.
Investigators say the Ford struck the curb northbound along the edge of Toddy Hill Road before traveling off the roadway and landing in a yard.
Hensel was transported to Danbury Hospital where he died Monday.
Officials say he was a student at Central Connecticut State University.
