Shelton police say a New Jersey man is in custody after beating another man with a baseball bat.
Police say Chadwick Adams, 28, followed his wife from New Jersey to the Hyatt House Hotel on Bridgeport Avenue, where he confronted the man who was with his wife at the time.
They say Adams drove off after the attack, but officers stopped him on the Merritt Parkway a short time later.
Police say the victim was hospitalized, but is expected to be OK.
