Nonprofit boosts voter registration with art

A Bronx nonprofit is teaming up with a local artist to encourage voter registration. Dominicanos USA has helped 90,000 people register to vote, primarily in neighborhoods with large Dominican populations.

A Bronx nonprofit is teaming up with a local artist to encourage voter registration.
Dominicanos USA has helped 90,000 people register to vote, primarily in neighborhoods with large Dominican populations.
The organization is exhibiting the art of Persio Minier at its office.
Through a translator, Minier tells News 12 that his artwork pays homage to Dominicans and their contributions at home and in the United States.
Dominicanos USA also provides job training and housing and education outreach.
