A judge postponed the case of a Norwalk police lieutenant who was scheduled for arraignment in Stamford Thursday on teen sex charges.Norwalk Lt. Tom Cummings faces charges of enticing a minor and first-degree sexual assault for allegedly having sex with three teen boys, one as young as 15.
Rather than arraign Cummings on the charges, a judge transferred the case to a criminal court that specifically deals with felonies that are punishable by 10 years or more in prison. The case was also postponed until Feb. 29.
The 24-year police veteran, who was not required to enter a plea because of the changes, faces up to 150 years in prison.
