Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling confirms the city is removing a controversial mural on display at City Hall for decades.
Officials say they've received complaints about the painting which depicts a scene from a Mark Twain novel in which a slave appears to be carrying a white man's luggage.
The fate of the mural was discussed at a public hearing last week.
Rilling says the mural will possibly be relocated to a less prominent public location than City Hall.
