Local and state leaders were on hand Wednesday morning to announce Norwalk is getting an $800,000 state grant.
The money will go toward streetscape improvements at the intersection of Stevens Street and Stuart Avenue.
The project will provide pedestrian amenities, public space and lighting upgrades.
Area business owners say the changes will improve traffic flow.
The city hopes to start construction as soon as the summer.
