Officials announced Thursday that a Norwalk home is set to be demolished after two fires in the past seven months led local homeowners to complain about the hallowed-out home.Officials say the latest fire that occurred early Wednesday appears to be an act of arson. ?I was in shock when I heard that it was arson? says neighbor Barbara Scalisi. After the first fire in January, the home on Blue Mountain Road was boarded up and became a late-night hangout for local kids. Neighbors say they filed numerous complaints after the first fire, pushing for the home?s demolition. ?It was an eyesore, and people kept saying ?What are they going to do??? says Scalisi. ?This is such a nice, nice street.?Several home demolition contractors are now competing for the contract to knock the house down. The home is expected to be demolished in about two weeks.
