Norwalk Hospital is restricting
visitors after the city was declared to be in a yellow zone, with daily reports
of COVID-19 cases being as high as 49.
Hospital president Peter Cordeau
told News 12 there will be exceptions for
circumstances like end-of-life or children.
He also says while
it can be stressful, the hospital has made progress helping patients feel
connected through technology.
Cordeau says that
the restrictions protect both patients and staff and he is hopeful visits can
resume soon.
He also says
patients should not avoid medical care due to fear of contracting COVID-19.
