Norwalk locals are pushing back tonight after officials put up 'no parking' and 'no standing' signs on Mulvoy Street last week.

Officials say the new parking regulations were implemented to improve traffic flow. Merchants along Mulvoy Street say the new parking regulations are impacting business.

Mulvoy Street storeowner Domenic Cocchia says that the new underpass rebuilt on Monroe Street two months ago had already diminished traffic on the block. Cocchia and other merchants say they have tried to contact Mayor Richard Moccia without success.

Mayor Moccia told News 12 Connecticut that the city will follow up to see how traffic is in the area since the new parking regulations.
