Norwalk officials declared October as ADHD Awareness Month on Tuesday.

An event was held at the Norwalk Public Library where Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling made the official ruling.

"We want to talk about it, because when you talk about these things people become aware and people can donate money, people can get the proper help for their loved ones,” said Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling.

The Norwalk Public Library sets up a display of ADHD related materials so people can learn more about the disorder every year.
