Residents in Norwalk love the beaches, but say they?d like to see a major cleanup in the restrooms. The facilities at Calf Pasture Beach haven't been refurbished in years. Beachgoers say many of the sinks don?t work, the toilet seats are broken and bricks are falling off the wall. Michael Mocciae, Norwalk's director of parks and recreation, says the city has set aside $470,000 to rebuild bathroom facilities at Shady Beach and Calf Pasture. Norwalk Mayor Dick Moccia says Shady Beach facilities should be finished by next November. He hopes Calf Pasture will be finished next spring.
