A veteran Norwalk police officer accused of fleeing the scene of a drunk driving crash has been suspended for five days.

A veteran Norwalk police officer accused of fleeing the scene of a drunk driving crash has been suspended for five days.
Hector Delgado has been on the force for 26 years.
He is accused of striking an 18-wheeler in Fairfield and fleeing the scene in August.
He was pulled over half a mile away and later failed a field sobriety test.

Delgado is not appealing the suspension.
