The war in Israel has people in the area on edge, especially with a former head of Hamas calling for a “global day of jihad.”
Meanwhile, the Norwalk, Fairfield, Weston and Wilton police departments are also warning city residents to remain vigilant. They also say there are no credible threats.
Officials say that out of an abundance of caution there will be an increased police presence at places of worship, schools and other essential community locations.
Residents are urged that if they see something suspicious to say something.
