A man was hospitalized after being shot on a Norwalk street on Tuesday night.
Police say the shooting happened on the corner of Main Street and Plymouth Avenue. Investigators shut down part of the road at around 9:45 p.m. as they collected evidence.
They say the victim was shot multiple times in the stomach. Stray bullets also damaged some businesses, shattering part of the front window at the In and Out Variety Store.
Police say the victim is recovering in the hospital and is expected to be OK. They say that they do not believe this was a random shooting and think that the victim was likely targeted.
