Stew Leonard's in Norwalk held its 37th annual "Turkey Brigade" Thursday.
The supermarket donated more than 2,000 turkeys that will be distributed to more than 100 churches, shelters and schools across Connecticut and New York communities.
Officials say it's an effort to give families a chance to celebrate the holiday.
Stew Leonard's says the store is donating turkeys to 27 local organizations.
