Residents with air conditioners will have even higher bills than last year, but there are tips to keep the cost down while keeping cool. Frank Kijek, the manager of Aitoro's Appliance Store in Norwalk, says when buying an air conditioner finding the right size unit is key. He also says maintaining the filter is important and will help save energy. Those who really want to save money can use a fan as an alternative to air conditioning. Standing fans or table fans will keep you cool and at the same time bring down an energy bill.
