A Norwalk veteran who fought in World War II celebrated his 100th birthday Sunday with a car parade.
Nickolas Samodel was the parade marshal for the Norwalk Veterans Day and Memorial Day parades. He served with his younger brother.
Samodel says he's not sure what advice to give for living a long life, but credits growing up on a farm in the Catskills.
His son says he acknowledges oatmeal as the secret.
