Two men fatally shot a 37-year-old man sitting in a van at Spofford and Faile avenues around 6 a.m. Wednesday, police say.
The victim, Jose Ingles, of Harlem, was struck at least once in the neck. Police say they found at least five bullet casings at the scene, but some witnesses tell News 12 they heard seven shots.
Police say they are looking for at least two male suspects who they say ran up on the vehicle before opening fire.
They also say they are looking for a woman who may have played a role in the incident.
According to investigators, the victim was sitting in a blue Chrysler van with a woman. They say she got out of the vehicle before two men, wearing hooded sweatshirts, approached both sides of the car and opened fire.
The victim later died at Lincoln Hospital.
