The NYPD says major security measures will be in place around Madison Square Garden on Saturday, June 13, as the area prepares for the Knicks Game 5, a Knicks watch party, the first World Cup match, and a 5 Seconds of Summer concert.

Tens of thousands of people are expected, and police are urging everyone to arrive early.

A 3,000‑person watch party outside MSG will require advance registration and a valid ticket.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani released a statement, saying in part, "My administration is proud to work with the Knicks to support these watch parties. As we celebrate, be responsible, look out for one another, stay safe, be smart, and make this a night that reflects the very best of our city."

Entry runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with screening at Sixth Avenue and West 32nd or 33rd Streets.

Bags will not be allowed, and anyone who leaves the designated viewing area will not be permitted back in.

A security perimeter will go up at 4 p.m., stretching from West 29th to West 35th Streets between Sixth and Eighth Avenues.

Only ticket holders, residents, train passengers, and people accessing businesses will be allowed inside, and all must pass through screening at one of four checkpoints.

Starting at 8:30 p.m., Penn Station riders will be directed to Moynihan Station or Grand Central.

World Cup fans traveling to MetLife Stadium will be screened by Amtrak Police and must enter through Sixth Avenue and 32nd Street.

Trains will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and returning fans will not be allowed to remain inside the frozen zone.

The MSG concert begins at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Concertgoers may use any access point but must show a ticket.
