A Stamford officer rescued a cat that was caught in a storm drain since last Thursday in Stamford.
Minutes after News 12 crews were reporting on the story on Tuesday evening, they say they heard the cat crying and called Animal Control.
Officer Tilford Cobb climbed into the drain hole on Summer Street around 5:30 p.m. and found the female cat in the trap he'd set.
Cobb says he took the cat straight to the vet to get checked out.
Due to all of the attention the cat has been getting, he says there are already adoption requests at the department.
