Three firefighters and one resident were treated by Stratford EMS following a fire in Stratford Thursday night.
It happened at a boarding home on Main Street just before 9 p.m.
Firefighters were coming back from marine training when the group saw smoke coming from the residence.
Over 20 firefighters responded and helped evacuate all occupants who were still in the building, authorities say.
The fire was put out soon after and did not spread.
No one was injured, but one resident and three firefighters were evaluated and released by EMS units on scene.
The Fairfield County Regional Hazmat Team also responded to the scene to assist with lithium ion batteries that were affected by the fire.
Officials want to remind residents to have working smoke detectors and to store lithium ion batteries in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
