Officials in Fairfield say a chimney collapsed at a home on Ridgely Avenue.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday.
The fire department says about 3 feet of the chimney broke off and hit the roof, then fell to the ground.
There was some damage to the roof, but the house is OK.
The sons of the homeowner were inside at the time, but no one was hurt.
