Officials: Man arrested for shooting wife and stepson in Stratford

Stratford police arrested a man for a shooting involving his wife and stepson.
It happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday night on Bates Street.
Authorities say Micheal James fired a gun while arguing with his stepson Rakeem Mack.
They say the round also hit James' wife Lolita Mack-James.
Police say Rakeem Mack and Lolita Mack-James were transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening wounds.
Police say they believe James was trying to protect his wife from Mack during the confrontation.
James is charged with assault with a firearm and reckless endangerment.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
