Two people were injured Friday after a two-car head-on crash in New Canaan.
The incident involving a white-colored workman's van and an Acura sedan happened on Smith Ridge Road just before 7 a.m.
The road was temporarily shut down while emergency workers cleared the crash.
New Canaan Fire Chief Jack Hennessey says it took 20 minutes to extricate a driver from a vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to Norwalk Hospital.
The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Officials say speed may have been a factor in the crash.
