Local leaders and Department of Transportation officials on Tuesday toured what is expected to one day become a Metro-North station in Orange.
Officials say the proposed multimillion-dollar project just off Marsh Hill Road is a "public-private partnership." Officials are emphasizing they're going get creative to complete the project, because the state hasn't promised any funding.
The Metro-North stop would be used to help bridge the gap between New Haven and Milford, leading to job creation in Orange, officials say.
Local leaders plan to meet again in 60 days. It's still unclear when the project, already nine years in the works, would begin.
