The Wakeman Boys & Girls Club went Over The Edge this weekend for a good cause.
News 12's Justin DeVellis rappelled down the side of the M&T Bank Headquarters in Bridgeport Saturday.
Proceeds benefit the club's programs that promote leadership, health and wellbeing, life and workforce readiness along with academic success.
"The most nerve-racking part of this whole thing is literally when you step out from the roof and finally go over the edge. It's an arm workout. It's an ab workout. I'm so glad I did it and it's for a good cause," says DeVellis.
"I'm really proud of all the work that we do. I think it's when we have events like this. The community comes together to be able to provide opportunities for our next, our future's youth and that's really it. It's a sense of pride for me," says Sabrina Smeltz, the club's CEO.
The M&T building is 248 feet tall.
