Some parents are considering home schooling their children this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Experts say families struggling to balance working and remote learning may see the personalization and flexibility of home schooling attractive as the school year approaches.
They also say the new interest presents a chance to open some eyes.
"It is a wide range of people who are suddenly interested in home schooling, which is fun, it is neat to see new people discover this whole world," says Amy Landisman, of CT Homeschool Hub.
Advocates have credited Connecticut's relaxed homeschooling laws with allowing innovation.
