A Bridgeport couple whose 10-year-old daughter drowned at a Fairfield lake thanked the public today for donating the entire cost of her funeral. Catherine Celina Perez Trujillo's parents say it was a great comfort at a very painful time to learn how many people walked into Luz de Paz Funeral Home with checks and cash to donate to Catherine's final expenses. Funeral home owner Edgardo Rodriguez says people have donated double the amount of money needed for the funeral and have asked that the family keep the extra cash.Police say the 10-year-old girl drowned while swimming in a restricted area of Lake Mohegan.Her wake will be held Sunday at Luz de Paz Funeral Home, and the funeral will take place at St. Peter's Church on Monday.
