Doctors at an urgent care center for children in Norwalk say they are seeing more patients recently.
The Center for Advanced Pediatrics new Urgi-Kids clinic offers care for patients with non-life-threatening medical issues. Local families say the urgent care clinics are a much better value than taking their children to the emergency room for minor illnesses.
The urgent care clinics charge a normal co-payment for most appointments. Parents say during rough financial times, it is imperative they save money on medical bills for their children.
Doctors at the Urgi-Kids clinic say they have seen at least 100 children on the weekends in the recent weeks and expect the numbers to increase.
