Part of Greenwich Town Hall remains closed tonight after a scare involving a mysterious white power yesterday.
The building was evacuated around 4 p.m.
Crews say initial testing did not pick up any hazardous materials. Police say an initial test of the powder was negative and they hope to have the final results back soon.
Officials say the person who found the envelope in the IT department was taken to the hospital with two others as a precaution. That part of the building will remain closed until the investigation is complete. First Selectman Peter Tesei has discussed re-examining security at Town Hall.
