It’s not every day you see a peacock in the streets of New York City – but some Bronx residents saw two of them out and about.

Video shows the two birds, which escaped from the Bronx Zoo, strutting their stuff along Pelham Parkway.

The Wildlife Conservation Society runs the Bronx Zoo and says that they have more than 100 free-roaming fowl that occasionally stray from the park.

"Don't feed them because, you know, when you feed animals, sometimes they can get aggressive or they'll do stuff that they normally don't do,” said one representative from the WCS. “And keep your distance if you're not familiar with the animals.”

The zoo says that the male bird of the duo was brought home on Tuesday morning, but the hunt is still on for the female.
