A 51-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a car in Greenwich.
Police say the woman, of Elmsford, New York, was struck Tuesday morning as she crossed King Street near Anderson Hill Road. They say she worked as a house cleaner in Greenwich and had just exited a bus with a co-worker before being hit at around 7 a.m.
The victim was transported to Greenwich Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Officers closed off a section of King Street for about three hours while they investigated. They say it was determined that the snowy weather was not a contributing factor in the accident.
Police have not yet released the victim's identity.
It is currently unknown if the driver, who is also from New York, will face any charges.
