Rail service returned to normal schedule Friday evening after a train struck and killed a person as it made its way toward the Milford station, officials say.
Metro-North says it involved an Amtrak Acela train headed from Washington, D.C. to Boston.
There were around 300 passengers aboard the train, but officials say none of them were hurt.
The 2 p.m. incident marked the second death of a person by an Amtrak train in Connecticut Friday. Another person was struck in Guilford earlier in the day.
