Stamford police are searching for the people who attacked two teens from the city's West Side, sending one of them to the hospital.
Police say one of the teens was lured to North Stamford by a woman early Wednesday morning.
They say when he showed up with his friend, it turned out to be a setup and the pair was suddenly attacked.
Police say the 18-year-old and 19-year-old males were attacked by several men with claw hammers at a gas station on High Ridge Road, just north of the Merritt Parkway.
They say the 19-year-old was not hurt, but the 18-year-old was stabbed several times and was taken to Stamford Hospital with a punctured lung.
Officials say the victim was walking along High Ridge Road with blood all over him until police arrived. The victim told police he blacked out and could not remember what happened.
"He said suddenly someone was coming after him with a hammer and he couldn't describe that person, whether they were black or white. He did describe them as wearing a ski mask," says Sgt. Christian DiCarlo.
Police are reviewing surveillance video and say they have some leads, but are asking for the public's help.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Stamford Police Department.
