Police: Intoxicated man arrested for assault with tree branch in Bridgeport
yesterdayOne person was shot on the 1000 block of Main Street in Bridgeport on Sunday at approximately 12:45 a.m.
An officer working a downtown special detail heard the shot and proceeded to the area. A witness directed the officer to a victim on the ground suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck.
The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and is in stable condition. Three people have been arrested by Bridgeport Police for interfering with the investigation.
The Detective Bureau and Major Crime Unit have opened a criminal investigation.
