A group of men attempted to abduct a teenage girl on Taft Avenue Friday morning, Bridgeport police say.
Between 8 and 9 a.m., the victim was walking toward Central High School when a black sedan pulled up alongside her.
The victim's mother says there were three men inside, and they told the 17-year-old to enter the car.
She says when her daughter refused, one of the men exited the car and tried to grab her.
The teen was able to escape.
Police say the car had tinted windows and the last three letters of the license plate read "PBZ."
They're asking anyone with information to call it in.
