Bridgeport police are investigating the connection between two separate incidents that resulted in three people getting shot on Wednesday night.
Two males, ages 26 and 18, were shot on Sheridan Street and later arrived at Bridgeport Hospital on their own, police said. Both had previously been listed in critical condition but are now recovering from surgery.
Both shootings happened around 7:15 p.m. One of the incidents happened near Newfield Avenue and Clifford Street, where the third victim remains in stable condition, police said.
According to police, a vehicle involved in a crash on Route 8 matched the description of a car linked to the shooting on Sheridan Street.
Police said narcotics were discovered inside the car.
Three suspects were arrested.
Dylan Durkin, 23, of Milford, was charged with possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of 1/2 ounce of cocaine with intent to sell and interfering with an officer. His bond was set at $35,000.
Damien Hazel, 26, of Bridgeport, was charged with engaging police in pursuit, interfering with officers, resisting arrest, reckless driving, possession of 1/2 ounce of cocaine with intent to sell, first-degree reckless endangerment, evading responsibility involving injury, failure to insure a private motor vehicle, and possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell. His bond was set at $81,000.
Nicolas Vega, 25, of Ansonia, was charged with possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of 1/2 ounce of cocaine with intent to sell and interfering with officers.
