Police believe that they have caught two men involved in a string of car break-ins in the city.
Police arrested the men Monday morning, after the men were attempting to break in to another car. The officers were called to Gregory Boulevard around 2:30 a.m., when they received information about a suspicious Honda Civic stopped in the middle of the road.
The officers arrived and saw someone shining a flashlight into a pick-up truck, who ducked behind the vehicle. Police arrested a 17-year-old teen and Theodore Wilson, 23 in the incident. According to police, a GPS unit was in the car, which police turned on and found the owner.
"The home turned out to be an address in Southport ," Norwalk Police Department Sgt. Andre Velez says. "We contacted that particular address. The resident there went out to his car, checked and sure enough that was his GPS that was in Norwalk at the time."
Police say that the suspects are responsible for at least three break-ins in the area. They are also investigating to see if the suspects are responsible for more burglaries in the area.
