Bridgeport police say a 21-year-old man has died after he was shot and was involved in a crash.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers say they responded to the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident with shots fired.

There they found Jamel Hayden, of Bridgeport with a gunshot wound. He had also been  involved in ac rash in his red Honda CR-V,  police say.

Hayden was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he later died.
