Darien police say the woman accused of stealing more than $800,000 from a veterans charity may have embezzled money from a second group.
Police say a recent audit discovered money missing from the Darien Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
Investigators say Cynthia Tanner, 52, volunteered as a bookkeeper there for several years.
Officers arrested her earlier this week and charged her with stealing from the National Veterans Services Fund.
