A Darien man is facing a manslaughter charge following a deadly wreck that happened last year on Route 8.
State police say 26-year-old Robert Oxer was three times over the legal limit for driving under the influence at the time of the crash.
Both he and his passenger, Shirley Rodriguez of Stamford were thrown from the car. Rodriguez was killed.
State troopers say in addition to being drunk, Oxer was speeding and was driving a car without registration or insurance.
He posted a $250,000 bond.
